Health Service at Gippsland Campus

Contact Information

The Campus Nurse provides a free, professional and confidential health service to all Monash students and staff.

Health Service

Including First Aid, Nursing Care and Health Monitoring to staff and students with illness and injury. Advice and information available on a wide range of health issues including vaccinations, sexual health, mental health, issues relating to drug and alcohol use.

Health Promotion

Displays and leaflets are found outside Health, Wellbeing and Development - opposite the Student Union and also in the Recreation Rooms at the Student Residences.

Occupational Health Service

Occupational Health Services such as providing occupational health advice, Workstation Assessments, and arranging training sessions on topics such as Ergonomics, Manual Handling, Sun Savvy and other OHSE topics.

Workstation assessments take approx 30 minutes and match the equipment to the user and the task to the worker. Copies of the assessment including recommendations are sent to the staff member and the Supervisor. These assessments are free of charge. To book ring ext. 26425.

Walkie Talkies:

  • Wednesday Lunchtimes (come when you can - it's informal)
  • 1:05PM for a 1:10PM start - at the 4N car park entry door                                                                               

 If you are over 40, overweight and haven't exercised in a while - in that case come and have a chat to Vonnie at Health, Wellbeing and Development.

4 Sessions of Yoga - now 5-6pm Mondays at the Hexagon. March 16th, 23rd, 30th and April 16th 2009. Open to all $5 per session.    Mats provided. Wear comfy clothes and a blanket (optional).  No need to book.

Sing for Fun - 1-2pm Monday Lunchtimes - times to be advised (5 sessions in Semester 1 and 5 sessions in Semester 2) - at the Hexagon. Informal singing workshops with professional singing  leader. Great fun and a fantastic way to reduce stress. You don't need to know how to sing - we sing in groups only.  All welcome
