Enrolment Instructions

  • Read your faculty enrolment procedures (Faculty Unit and Information)
  • Select units from the list of  units offered by each faculty.
  • Complete the Enrolment Amendment Form. You can obtain a copy from your faculty office.
    Note: You cannot enrol for Summer or Winter Semester units directly on the web. Instead your summer or winter enrolment details can be viewed on the web once your form has been processed.
  • Obtain departmental approval for unit enrolment before the cut-off date specified in “Faculty and Unit Information”.
    Note: If you are seeking to take units from another faculty you must get 'provisional' approval from the 'host/teaching' faculty first EXCEPT:
    a) if the unit(s) is being taught by the Faculty of Information Technology or the Faculty of Business and Economics or
    b) if the unit is core to your degree
  • Take the form to the 'home' faculty for final consideration.

Unit Prerequisite Rules

It is your responsibility to check the Faculty Handbooks for details of unit pre-requisites. i.e. rules that indicate which units must be successfully completed before you take on the next unit.

It is your responsibility to also ensure that you meet all unit progression rules and course requirements when enrolling or making unit enrolment amendments.

If you are waiting for results for a pre-requisite unit you may enrol in the higher level unit. If you then fail the pre-requisite unit you should immediately check your enrolment details as your enrolment in the summer unit will automatically be invalidated/cancelled.
