Types of leave:

The entitlements for the most commonly used types of leave are outlined below.

Annual Leave Full-time fixed-term and continuing staff are entitled to 20 days annual per annum. Refer Remuneration and Benefits Procedure – Types of Leave (Annual Leave)
Personal leave Full-time fixed-term and continuing staff are entitled to 15 days personal leave per annum. Personal leave includes sick leave and carer's leave (ie. leave to care for an immediate relative or a member of the staff member's household). Parental Leave (maternity leave) Monash provides generous parental leave entitlements for new parents. The entitlements vary depending on length of service. Long Service Leave After 10 years of continuous service with Monash, staff are entitled to 13 weeks long service leave. Refer Remuneration and Benefits Procedure – Types of Leave (Long Service Leave)
