Environmental Policy Committee

The Environmental Policy Committee is committed to and responsible for the initiation, development and implementation of Environmental policies, procedures and programs across the University. The Environmental Policy Committee reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor and meets four times a year.

Constitution

The Committee is chaired by the nominee of the Vice-Chancellor and comprises a Dean, a Senior Manager nominated by a Dean, management representatives from Administration and staff employee representatives. Students are also represented on the Committee via the Monash Student Association and the Monash Postgraduate Association.

Role of the Environmental Policy Committee Member

The Environmental Policy Committee is committed to and responsible for the initiation, development and implementation of Environmental policies, procedures and programs across the University.

Members of the Environmental Policy Committee have been chosen from a wide variety of campuses and work groups to ensure that all Committee decisions are reflective of the needs and views of all Monash staff and students, and are considerate of, and sensitive, to the diversity of Monash's broad based teaching, research and support activities.

The main role of all Policy Committee members is to contribute their own expertise, experience and knowledge to the Committee in the development of all Environmental policies, procedures and programs across the University.
