Occupational Health and Safety Biosafety Committee

Terms of Reference

1. To ensure that Monash University complies with external standards, regulations and guidelines in all matters of genetic manipulation and biosafety.
2. To supervise all work involving genetic manipulation in institutions outside the University, where the Monash University Biosafety Committee has agreed to act as the Institutional Biosafety Committee for those institutions.
3. To report and provide advice to the Occupational Health and Safety Policy Committee, for transmission to the Vice-Chancellor as required, on matters relating to genetic manipulation and biosafety.
