Terms of Reference & Mechanism of Operation
Terms of Reference
- To advise the OHSPC on all matters relating to radiation usage including policy development, advising on and monitoring the provision of training courses and their content, undertaking risk assessments, advising on compliance with State and Federal legislation and the Monash University Radiation Policy
- To initiate periodic reviews of the use of all sources of radiation at Monash University.
Proposed Mechanism of Operation
- To provide a forum for discussion between the staff of Occupational Health and Safety involved with radiation protection and the other Committee Members in relation to all matters pertaining to radiation.
- The Chairperson to attend one meeting of the OHSPC per year to report on any matters relating to radiation safety at Monash University.
- To provide copies of all minutes of meetings to the OHSPC.
- The Committee will hold at least two meetings per year.
- A quorum will exist if more than half the members are in attendance.
- To provide advice to the OHSPC regarding replacement of committee members as required.
