Faculty of Arts Disadvantaged Student Study Assistance Bursary

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and
• commencing an honours program in the Faculty of Arts at a Monash campus in Australia, and
• from one or more of Monash University’s defined equity or personal disadvantaged groups.

Selection criteria

Awarded to eligible students on the basis of need, and academic achievement in their undergraduate major/honours specialisation.

Value and number available

$2000 per 48 credit points of study for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the honours degree. The number available is variable, depending on funding.

Retention

Recipients must maintain a minimum of a credit weighted average mark (60 per cent).

Deferability

This scholarship cannot be deferred.
