Information Technology Industry-Based Learning Entry ScholarshipThis scholarship has replaced the Business Information Systems Industry-Based-Learning Scholarship. EligibilityTo be eligible, you must be:
* Students who have taken a ‘gap year’ after year 12 and have obtained the required ATAR to enter any of the specified degrees are also eligible to apply. Selection criteriaThe Information Technology Industry-Based Learning Entry scholarship is awarded based on the applicant's potential demonstrated at a selection process conducted by the industry partners of the IBL program, academic achievement and entry into one of the specified degrees. Applicants must have achieved a minimum ATAR or equivalent of 80. The selection criteria include good communication skills, maturity, enthusiasm, initiative, leadership qualities, extra-curricular interests and participation, academic performance, exposure to paid work and career interests. Value and number available$4000 per annum for one year only. Students may be eligible for one or two consecutive Industry-Based Placement scholarships provided they meet the eligibility criteria. The number available is variable depending on funding. RetentionRecipients of this award must maintain full-time enrolment and a weighted average mark of 65 per cent and no failed units. If these conditions are not met, the scholarship may be suspended or discontinued at the discretion of the IBL Director. The full-time enrolment requirement can only be waived at the discretion of the IBL Director. ApplicationsApplications can be submitted online at the IBL website. Approximately 50 students will be invited to an interview in December 2011. Students interested in this scholarship will need to list at least one of the Monash degrees listed above as a preference in their VTAC application. DeferabilityThis scholarship cannot be deferred. |
