Faculty of Information Technology International Merit ScholarshipsEligibilityTo be eligible, you must be:
* Continuing Monash students must be either:transferring from another faculty, or enrolled in a Faculty of IT degree, and have completed only one semester of study, with a minimum of 18 credit points. Selection criteriaAwarded to the highest achieving eligible applicants. Commencing students can refer to the eligibility table. Continuing Monash students must achieve a minimum of a high distinction weighted average mark (80 per cent), and will be assessed only after completion of their first semester of study (minimum of 18 points) to be eligible for the Level 1 scholarship. Value and number available· Level 1 scholarship value is $5000 per 48 credit points*, paid towards tuition fees for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree. · Level 2 scholarship value is $7000 per 48 credit points*, paid towards tuition fees for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree. The scholarship value, for commencing students, will be determined by academic results in previous study as specified on the eligibility table. Continuing Monash students are only eligible for the Level 1 scholarship. *Note: these values are for new scholarship recipients in 2012. Students offered scholarships prior to 2012 will receive the scholarship value outlined in their offer letter. RetentionRecipients must maintain a minimum of a distinction weighted average mark (70 percent) each semester to be eligible to continue to receive payment in the following semester. ApplicationsStudents studying Year 12 or IB in Australia in 2011 must apply for scholarships via the VTAC scholarship application portal. Continuing Monash students and international students applying directly to the University for entry to a course of study will be automatically assessed when their course application is received. DeferabilityOnly commencing students can defer this scholarship. |
