Monash Gippsland - East Gippsland TAFE Bursary

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen, holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa, and
• a commencing student intending to enrol full-time and on-campus at the Monash Gippsland campus in one of the following courses, and

         - Bachelor of Visual and Media Arts
         - Bachelor of Social and Community Welfare or Associate Degree in Social and Community Welfare
         - Bachelor of Information Technology and Systems
         - Bachelor of Sports Promotion and Events Management
         - Bachelor of Business and Commerce or Associate Degree in Business and Commerce
         - Diploma of Tertiary Studies (including the Nursing program at Leongatha)

• a student of East Gippsland TAFE who has completed one of the following courses, and

         - Diploma of Arts/Visual Arts
         - Community Services – Certificate IV to Diploma
         - Diploma in Events Management
         - Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management
         - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts – Certificate IV to Associate Diploma
         - Information Technology – Certificate IV

• from one or more of Monash University’s defined equity and personal disadvantage groups.

Selection criteria

Awarded to eligible students on the basis of need. Further consideration will be given to students based on ENTER score or equivalent.

Value

$3000 per annum for one year only.

Retention

Recipients must maintain a full-time on-campus enrolment.

Deferability

This bursary cannot be deferred.
