Ibulanku Community Health Centre Travel Bursary

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, or
• an international student, and
• a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the final year of the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at a Monash campus in Australia in 2010, and
• undertaking an elective placement at the Ibulanku Community Centre in Uganda.

Selection criteria

Selection of candidates will be on the basis of:

• academic achievement
• the merit of the proposed work program in the Ibulanku Community Health Centre (as determined by the selection committee)
• the quality of the written submission, in which applicants will be expected to demonstrate how the financial assistance of the bursary would assist with the budgeted cost of undertaking the elective
• whether the applicant has travelled overseas previously (details to be provided).

$2,000 one-off payment.
