Publications Committee

The Strategy and Resources Committee-convened Publications Committee is responsible for:

  • setting broad parameters for the form, content and production management processes for the university's suite of course-related publications;
  • identifying and resolve cross-sectoral issues of a strategic nature that cannot be resolved at other levels within the university;
  • consulting with faculties as part of making determinations regarding the structure, style and content of specific publications;
  • advising the CUPID manager on the provision of appropriate fields, objects and formats that are associated with the publication of course and unit entries in specific publications;
  • ensuring production schedules enable course-related publications to be published in a well-managed and timely manner;
  • consulting with stakeholders to determine future approaches to the publication of course-related information.

The committee determines the composition of the suite of university-wide publications and the broad purpose of each, ensuring that the suite provides comprehensive information to identified audiences. The committee also assigns business ownership of individual publications, ensures that relevant decisions of senior university committees are reflected in university-wide publications and liaises with content owners to ensure that university-wide and faculty-specific publications complement each other.
