Sick leave provisions for fractional-time

Sick leave entitlements will be recorded in full days or fraction thereof. The number of days accrued will be determined by the full-time rate multiplied by the fraction of full-time employment (e.g. half time= 15 x 0.5 = 7.5 days per annum). Leave taken is also recorded in full days or fraction thereof.

Payment while on sick leave will be at the staff member's ordinary rate of pay, i.e. fraction of full-time at the time of taking leave.

Paid sick leave applies only to the University working days usually worked by the staff member.
