Sleep Over Allowance

Entitlement to payment of sleep over allowance is prescribed under clause 82 - sleep over allowance of the Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Academic and Professional Staff) 2009 and is applicable to professional staff only.

Payment of the allowance is subject to the following University policy existing as at 22 November 2005:

• A staff member required to work during a sleep-over where that work is in excess of a total of one hour will be paid in accordance with the overtime rates set out in clause 76.9 of the Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Academic and Professional Staff) 2009.
• A sleep-over period will not commence prior to 10:00pm.
