For the purposes of clauses 77.3-77.4 of the Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Academic and Professional Staff) 2009 and the shift penalty provisions of the university's relevant AWA Terms and Benefits Policies, "ordinary rate" includes any higher duties allowance paid to a professional staff member undertaking higher duties during the performance of shift work.
